Have you heard about DORP?

DORP is a ten day innovation hub that starts a week prior to the festival Welcome to the Village (has already taken place, in July in Leeuwarden). Interdisciplinary teams work together to tackle challenges that launch us towards a sustainable future. But how does that work exactly and why? What can happen if you join this living lab?

For example, Spoonery has tested their product: eatable spoons. They produce eatable spoons of a special kind of dough to decrease plastic waste. Another example is Puzzel Peace: they produce modular furniture. With one package, you can create closets, tables, chairs, and so on. Being able to change furniture makes your organisation more flexible, and more importantly it reduces the transport and thus results in less CO2-emmissions.
